TROUBLESHOOTER FOR THE HILL-ROM P330 PRESSURE RELIEVING MATTRESS

OPERATION
The Hill-Rom P330 mattress system is a continuous low pressure mattress system, which means that it behaves differently to other conventional air mattress  systems. This mattress system has a built in pump which is not visable on the mattress, nor does it have alternating cells with a cycle of one hard one soft the length of the mattress surface which alternate every nine minutes or so, all cells contain air at the same time and this air is redistributed by way of a vario sensor in the base of the mattress which monitors patient weight and position. So in essence the the mattress works on the principle of pressure redistribution rather than pressure reduction, this can sometimes mean that the mattress has an unusual shape when on the bed.

INSTALLATION
Having secured the mattress system to the bed and switched on the power supply it will take 30 minutes for the mattress to inflate. The red LED in the window on the side of the mattress will flash during this time and once fully inflated the LED will stay off.
PROBLEMS THAT CAN OCCUR

The mattress fails to power up:  At this point you should ensure that the ac adapter is switched on and the green LED illuminated this will stay illuminated at all times when switched on see diagram above SS FAILS TO INFLATE If the mattress system powers up ok but after 30 minutes has failed to inflate you should ensure that the CPR toggle is correctly inserted.

At this point you should ensure that the ac adapter is switched on and the green LED illuminated this will stay illuminated at all times when switched on see diagram above.

Having checked this but still no power ensure that the break away cable is connected, this is situated half way along the main power lead. If the problem still persists you should at this point ensure that the power lead is connected to the the internal pump, you will have to open the zip to check this.
